- Having lunch at the Firebrand in Gunnison.
- Hartman's Rocks. Unbelievable. Something for everyone.
- Taking a picnic and bottle of wine over to the White Water Rafting Park.
- Running or walking "Coach's Loop" at Island Acres.
- Mushroom hunting in the fall. But be careful. Know your mushrooms.
- Ohio Creek Pass with autumn colors.
- Dinner at Slogars Restaurant in Crested Butte.
- Visiting both the Corner Cupboard and the Circus Train on Main Street in Gunnison.
- The Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Great for a scenic drive or hike. Allow plenty of time for this terrific national park.
